And our last character interview to celebrate C.E. Stone's release of Starganauts is...

I’m 24, though after all we’ve gone through…I feel a lot older!

● What did you do before the events of the story?

I was a part-time tutor at a center. I helped kids learn, and had the best job in the world! I also enjoyed socializing, shopping with my mom, and relaxing by the beach. Oh, and I was planning my wedding to Derek. That’s Sharko, as you know him.

● What is the most important lesson you learned during the events that you can share— without spoilers! 😜

I need to let go of the past. I need to embrace God’s plan and future for me. Easier said than done, let me tell you!!!

● Who is the person you are closest to on the team?

My husband, if that isn’t obvious. Sharko is my rock. I don’t know what I’d do without him, and I thank God every day he’s with me and alive. Nancy, my best friend, is a close second! 😊

● How would you describe yourself?

Honestly, I have to think about these kinds of questions for a few minutes. Um, people often tell me that I’m sweet, cheerful, kind, and emotional. I’ve always been a sensitive person, and some might call me weak. I tend to do very poorly with change and I’m fearful and lack confidence. However, Nancy says I’m the most empathetic person she knows. I guess that sums it up!

● What is your position on the team?

I’m the group’s encourager, I guess? It’s kind of ironic, since I often have trouble encouraging myself. I’ve always had a “nurturing” nature, as people call it. I empathize with the others’ losses, and I try to encourage and listen where I can. I’m also the chief dish-washer, which is oh so fun! Lol!

● You’re stranded in space— what three items do you take with you?

Oh my gosh! I don’t know if I could ever decide!!! Can it be people instead of items? Because I would totally pick Sharko, Matt, and Nancy. My husband, for obvious reasons. Nancy, because she’s my bestie but also a healer. Matt, because he’s a mechanic and could probably fix whatever is stranding our shuttle in space. However, if I’m limited to items, I’d say a communicator, food, and water. I’ll be okay if I can communicate, eat, and drink.

● What is your favorite place you’ve visited on your journey?

The cave! Read the book, and you’ll know what I mean. :)

● What is your least favorite place you’ve visited on your journey?

The ship graveyard. Again, see the book.

● What do you consider your greatest strengths and greatest flaws?

I guess my greatest strength is my empathy. I can put myself in others’ shoes, and I can be perceptive when it comes to people. I’m also generally cheerful, though maybe not so much on Sahara. My greatest flaws are probably inflexibility and fearfulness. It’s very hard for me to accept negative change, and a lot of things scare me. I have to lean on God to give me courage…and my orb Form definitely helps! 😉

● Tea or coffee?

Uh, neither? I don’t like the flavor of either, so I like hot cocoa on cold days and mango smoothies on hot. As Sahara boasts triple digit temperatures, I gravitate towards smoothies.

● And, of course, the all-important question: what’s your favorite color? 😜

Purple, which makes me happy. That’s the color of my orb!
